Handmade platinum palladium photographs from 8 x 10 and 16 x 20 inch in camera negatives.

and 11th November 2012 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm

Platinum palladium photographs from 8×10 inch camera negatives are not that common but  16 x 20 inch photographs are rare. The hand crafted nature of this process ensures that each photograph from the same negative is unique, exhibiting subtle differences in tonality from the variation in coating technique paper surface and atmospheric humidity.

This nineteenth century platinum/palladium process of precious metals ensures the photograph may remain unaltered for hundreds of years. Created on French 100% cotton and fine Japanese papers they offer a beautiful timeless warmth.

Although they can be viewed as explorations in texture and tonality there is a greater  aesthetic, Gary’s artistic vision allows you to share some quiet spiritual places, photographs that reveal the subtle difference of shadows and reflections bringing depth to his work.
